These are the terms between you — the contractor or company creating an account — and Halrock, an independent software service, for use of Halrock. They are written to be read. Creating an account means you accept them; if you are doing so for a company, you confirm you can bind that company.
Software for running contracting jobs: budgets, estimates, change orders, invoices, payments, expenses, hours, photos and the links you send to clients, subs and suppliers. You use it in a browser; there is nothing to install.
Halrock produces documents you author and send. It is a tool, not a party to your contracts: the estimate a client signs is between you and your client, and its content — prices, scope, terms and conditions — is yours to write and yours to stand behind.
Keep your sign-in to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you invite. Managers see everything about your company's money; crew see jobs, addresses, hours and photos and never prices, costs or documents — invite accordingly.
One account can belong to more than one company; each company's data stays separate.
Trial. Every new company gets 30 days free, no card required. When the trial ends without a subscription, the company locks: nothing is deleted, but nobody can open a job, a document or a report until someone subscribes. You can still sign in to subscribe, and export everything at any time — that door stays open even locked.
Plans. One plan for your whole company, billed monthly or yearly at the price shown on the Subscription page when you subscribe (yearly is discounted). Prices are in US dollars. We may change prices for future periods with notice inside the app; a change never applies mid-period.
Payment is handled by Stripe. Switching between monthly and yearly is pro-rated on the day you switch. Failed payments give you a grace period with a warning inside the app before access is limited.
Cancelling. Cancel any time from the Subscription page. Your access runs to the end of the period you paid for; there are no refunds for partial periods. You can resume before the period ends and nothing changes.
It is yours. We hold it to run the service, as described in the Privacy Policy, and we do not sell it or use it for advertising. You can export it at any time, trial or not, subscribed or not.
You are responsible for the data you enter about other people — your customers, their contacts, your subs — and for having a proper basis to collect it and to send them documents.
A sent document is a record. Once a client answers an estimate it is frozen and cannot be edited; the way to change scope afterwards is a change order, and the way to undo an invoice is to void it — the record stays. This is deliberate: the value of the record is that it does not move.
When a client approves an estimate through their link, Halrock records the typed name, drawn signature (if any), time, IP address and browser, and prints the readable evidence on the document. Whether that constitutes a binding signature for a given contract, in a given place, is a matter of the law that applies to you and your client. Halrock provides the record; it does not give legal advice, and the terms-and-conditions template offered in Settings is a starting point for a conversation with a lawyer, not a substitute for one.
Use Halrock for your contracting business. Do not use it to send unsolicited email, to impersonate someone, to store material you have no right to, to probe or attack the service, or to break the law. Do not share a company's sign-in with people outside it — invite them instead.
We may suspend an account that puts other customers, the service or ourselves at risk. We will say why.
We aim to keep Halrock available around the clock and we deploy improvements often, sometimes several times a day. Short interruptions during a deploy can happen; a page that fails to load right after one usually loads on refresh. Planned maintenance is announced inside the app.

Halrock is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it correct and available, and we test what we ship — but software has bugs, providers have outages, and we cannot promise the service will be error-free or uninterrupted.
To the extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost profits, lost jobs, lost data you did not export, disputes with your clients), and our total liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your own documents and for compliance with the laws that govern your trade and your contracts (licensing, deposit limits, required disclosures, sales tax). Halrock offers settings and templates to help; it does not check your compliance for you.
You can stop using Halrock at any time; cancel the subscription and, if you want the data removed, email us from the account's address. Export first — after deletion there is nothing to recover.
We may end the service to you for breach of these terms, with notice and a chance to export unless the breach makes that unsafe.
We will update these terms when the product changes in a way that matters. The date at the top moves; material changes are announced inside the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Halrock after that means you accept them.
Halrock is built and operated by an independent developer based in Brazil, where the service is operated from. These terms are governed by the laws there, and any dispute goes to the courts there — unless the law where you live gives you a right that cannot be taken away, in which case that right stands.
